we’re pretty chuffed to have been asked to play at Beacons festival.
we’re playing on the Friday. 17th - 19th August. it’s in skipton, north yorkshire.
check out all the other awesome stuff happening at Beacons on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/beaconsfestival
we’ll be playing alongside some of our favourites from the last couple of years including Real Estate, Factory Floor, Cloud Nothings and Jacuzzi Boys.

unfortunately Wild Beasts are one of the main acts, but you can’t have everything can you. we’re just happy to be playing outside for a change!
tye die tapes: a text post
this is fully lies.
this is a text post because i don’t have any photos accessible. i will post some more photos or videos of our friends soon, i think i have some funny slowcoaches ones from when we went to brighton recently.
so the last releases we did were fawn spots and slowcoaches and we love them both equally…
7” Single on Louder Than War
We are incredibly excited to announce that in the next couple of months we will be releasing a 7” single on Louder Than War records. Even more exciting (for us) is that it’ll be distributed by Southern who have done the likes of Fugazi, Crass, Les Savy Fav and loads of other stuff we love.
Louder Than War is run by John Robb - punk hero from Membranes and Goldblade, and all round great guy.
The single will feature Spanish Glass (off Gravelines) and a newly recorded track called From Pierce on the b-side.
If you don’t believe us check it out here:

We’re gonna say it’ll be out June but who knows.

Fawn Spots do SXSW….kind of

One of our friends has gone to SXSW. He did this on somebody with a Black Flag tattoo.
Probably the best lineup we’ll ever be on right there.
Age Old - remastered by Tye Die Tapes
Adam Zejma of the legendary Tye Die Tapes has remastered a track off our first ep ‘Mess’ called Age Old. I don’t like growing up.
TDT 009 Fawn Spots - Gravelines We’re are beyond excited to bring you this 4 track EP from York’s finest two piece. It was recorded over two days at TDT HQ, they were the first band that we had in to record in our studio and we’re so proud of this release.
It is available for pre-order from our new Bandcamp store which you can get to through clicking the art work above. When you pre-order you get the .MP3’s for the cassette instantly. Orders will ship on 27th of February.
It is also a part one of our Tye Die overhaul, that hopefully will go live the day of the release, We’re really excited about this at TDT HQ and really excited about our upcoming releases.
I’d also like to take the time to welcome a Michael Aitken into the fold at Tye Die Tapes. He’s become an indispensable part of the studio arm of our little organisation. Just don’t talk to him on the internet ‘cos he’ll likely upset you.
Keep them peeled for more updates.

so, we’re real excited to say that fawn spots’ cassette will come out on monday 27/2/12. it’s called gravelines (pronounced gravvurrleens) and is absolute killer. they recorded it at our place and we’ve been frantically dubbing tapes to get it done on time. a link to pre-order the tape will go up this evening, when we’ve worked out how bandcamp actually works. the track above is called paper man and is a track off the tape.
we have some other exciting news to talk about which regards the awesome band sun sister but i’ll talk about that tomorrow or the day after or something.

New Track - Paper Man from Gravelines EP
Here’s a new track we recorded in November with our bezzies for life Tye Die Tapes.
It’s called Paper Man. It’s from our forthcoming EP ‘Gravelines’ which will be out this month! You pronounce it “gravvurrleens”.
That’s the cover art too - it’s not that blue in real life.
